Persepolis – Marjane Satrapi

Thoughts: I read this graphic novel largely in an effort to improve my French, so while I got the gist of the book, I’m certain I missed many of the details. Bittersweet, often charming, and occasionally heartbreaking, Persepolis offers a glimpse into the life of a girl growing up in Iran in the 1970s, living as an immigrant in Austria in the early 1980s, and returning again to Iran as a young woman.
